The fruit of the spirit is : love, joy, peace, longanimity, benignity, kindness, fidelity, meekness, self control.
LOVE - The love is the greatest of the virtues of the fruit of the Spirit. This love is not the natural love. It's easy to love the ones who love you. But, the love, the the greatest virtue of the Spirit, is the love that has it's origin from God, and it's given to the christian who seek to follow God's foot steps, and commit himself to obtain His image.
JOY - This word means contentment, plesure, serenity. This joy doesn't have its origin on what's natural, neither comes from it's circunstances. This joy is constant, and make the heart elevate itself in exultation to God, even in the middle of sadness and pain. It's roots are from God and come as a result of obedience to His divine commadments.
PAZ - Only the one who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of his/her life will have eternal peace, cause He is the Prince of Peace (Isa 9:6). Jesus said: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. (Jn 14:27).
LONGANIMITY - It's a holy capability of wait for God, that He will act in His own time, in defense of justice to His people.
BENIGNITY AND KINDNESS - Both words have similar meanings. Both og them talk about being able to relate to peoples joy and pain. "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn." (Ro 12:15).
FIDELITY - The one who is loyal to someone or to a cause, will be loyal till the end of his days. This is what it means being faithful and loyal to God.
MEEKNESS - Its being humble, first of all, before God and then before men. The secret of conquer, is being humble enough to recognize we, with everyone else, are sinners before God and we are in need of His mercy and forgiveness.
SELF CONTROL - Jesus was an example of self control, He was angry with people doing business in Jerusalem's temple and threw them out, but he never lost the balance and control of His spirit. “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry (Eph 4:26) and also "Better a patient person than a warrior,one with self-control than one who takes a city" (pr.16:32).
